How to Decorate Flocked Christmas Trees Like a Pro
For those who are new to the tree decorating routine, they may wonder if there are differences between decorating plain trees or decorating those flocked Christmas trees on the market? Flocked Christmas trees are going to be artificial trees that have flocking on these meant to symbolize snow that is seen on trees out in fields before they are cut and brought into homes. With this being said, the branches, especially the tips on flocked Christmas trees are often a bit denser than regular trees. For that reason, decorating these may be a bit different than a regular tree if you are not used to it. That is why we have several tips to keep in mind when decorating these trees that are flocked!
Deck the Halls with Flocked Garland and Wreaths
1. You may find it difficult or nearly impossible to hang ornaments right on the edges of the branches. Instead, set these ornaments a bit further back. The end results will really highlight the flocking on the branches.
2. As with any type of artificial or real tree, you want to hang heavier ornaments further back into the tree to ensure that they are not going to fall as easily since they are heavier and more than likely a bit more breakable.
3. You can still put garland throughout the tree if you so choose. However, most people find that the flocking really helps to fill up the tree so there is no need for garland unless you really want to add some more shimmer.
4. The topper that you use can still be the same topper that you have used for years. There is nothing special that you are going to have to use in order to fit this tree. You will find that some people like to change up the topper to fit their theme, so there is that consideration to make.
