Tips for Decorating an Artificial Christmas Tree

For those who are ready to dig out their artificial Christmas tree, or perhaps they have purchased a new tree this year, it may seem like a daunting task when it comes time to decorate. Is there really a right or wrong way for decorating a tree? The answer is not really. You and decorate this however you want. But, you will find that there are several tips that you can use now that can make the decorating go a bit faster and be a bit easier!

Tip 1: Always start with the lights

For those who want their tree to look amazing, always start with the lights. There people who put these last. However, it will mean that in most cases, the wires for the lights are showing and that these are actually tangling with the ornaments that you have hung.

Tip 2: Garland or tinsel needs to go after the lights

Why should you do this next? Simply because you want the ornaments that you are hanging to be seen on the tree. If you do this after hanging the ornaments, then you will find that this can obscure a lot of ornaments that are being hung.

Tip 3: Use green hooks for your ornaments

This is going to allow the hooks to blend into the tree, and it makes ornaments look as though they are hanging there on their own. It creates a more cohesive look and is just a simple thing that you can do to make a difference.

Tip 4: Heavier ornaments need to be further back on the tree limb

There is nothing worse than having an ornament fall and shatter into thousands of pieces. For those heavier ornaments that you are hanging on the tree, be sure that you are getting these back on the tree limb. The further back, the tree limb is a bit stronger and can support the weight of the ornaments.

Tip 5: Always have the tree in the place that it will stay

Don’t try to decorate this and then move the tree later. This can cause ornaments to fall and break, it can result in the tree becoming a bit messy looking and the like. Set the tree up where it will be sitting during the season and decorate it there.

Hopefully, these tips can help you recreate your artificial Christmas tree like a pro!

Why do we use Christmas trees?

In our society today, Christmas trees are an essential symbol that signifies Christmas. It serves to be a significant representation of the holiday season. The origin of Christmas began among pagan ceremonies and was later adopted by Christians to celebrate Christmas.

Because of the significance of the evergreen leaves, Christmas trees symbolize eternal life obtained through birth, death, and resurrection. The tradition of bringing branches of trees indoors during winter originated from the practices of ancient Romans. The branches were decorated in honor of the emperor.

One of the first instances where trees became associated with Christian practice was in the 700 A.D. missionaries ministering, who was led by Boniface to tribes in Germany, cut down an oak tree. The oak tree had already been dedicated to the Norse god, Thor. The wood was used to build a chapel. Boniface then pointed to an evergreen, using it as an example of eternal life in Christ.

Further use of a Christmas tree in association with Christianityoccurred in the middle ages, and by 1500 Christmas tree was famous in Strasbourg and Latvia.

Another situation where the use of Christmas trees gained popularity was when Queen Victoria and her husband set up a Christmas tree at the castle of Windsor. It was further boosted by London news, which took the story to the united states, where people immensely imitated it.

The U.S. President Grover Cleveland also further the popularity of charismas trees by setting up a wired Christmas tree in 1895 in the White House.

After the introduction of plastic trees, artificial Christmas trees were born and have mostly replaced the use of conventional trees. Today Christmas trees are used by both Christians and non-Christians alike and have lost any religious significance.

Which is more promising? Christmas Eve or Christmas day

The Christmas season fills us with joy that leads up to the day of Christmas. The question we sometimes ask ourselves is, “is Christmas day the best part of the season?” Naturally, the anticipation of any event is better than the actual ceremony. And on the day before the event, your anticipation reaches its climax. So if you ask me to choose between the two, Christmas Eve or Christmas day, my pick would be Christmas Eve. For most adults, Christmas Eve provides just the right amount of excitement, and it is an integral part of the holiday without it being the highlight of the holiday.

Below are some of the reasons why Christmas Eve trumps Christmas day.

· It feels like Christmas without actually being Christmas

When Christmas eve comes, it already feels so much like Christmas without being Christmas. But when Christmas day comes, the season comes to an abrupt and depressing end. On Christmas eve, the festivity is very much in full swing, and you are still very much full of good cheer.

Eggnog still sounds delicious eggnog is one of the significant traditions of Christmas, and on Christmas eve down to Christmas day, drinking as many cups of eggnog is still very much reasonable. You always see it as the same thick and sweet mucus.

· You are surrounded by your favorite people

You have loved ones all around you on Christmas eve up to the time the Christmas season reaches its peak. This reason is one of the few times of the year when you get to be in the same room with them. On Christmas day, everyone starts looking forward to leaving and returning to their lives.

· You still have a chance to admire Christmas decorations

After Christmas day, taking down Christmas decorations doesn’t feel as fun as it did when putting it up. It feels more like a chore and takes up energy. On Christmas, the decorations are still on in all their glory for your admiration.

When is Christmas officially over-The epiphany

After the Christmas season, there is the widespread debate about when the Christmas season is over and when to pack up your Christmas tree and decorations. The date for the end of the season is a highly debated topic. The end of the Christmas season is popularly counted 12 days from the day of Christmas. So it is either the 5th or 6th of January as some Christians begin counting the days from after the Christmas day. Some people also believe it is bad luck to take down Christmas decorations before or after the chosen date when the Christmas season ends.

Everyone has their ideas when it comes to when the Christmas season ends. For some, they leave the Christmas decorations up until the Twelfth Night, which spans December 25 to January 5. For some others, the decorations stay until January 6, which is the day of Epiphany.

One thing’s for sure – everyone does it differently, and everyone has their ideas.

In Britain, tradition has it that Christmas decorations stay up until Twelfth Night.

And this is where the confusion lies. Twelfth night is a festival in some branches of Christianity which marks the beginning of Epiphany. A count of exactly 12 days from December 25 arrives on January 5. According to the Church of England, this day is the Twelfth Night. The day of Epiphany – when the three wise men came – is the day after, on January 6.

Some countries who follow the tradition of taking down the Christmas decorations on January 6 include Poland, Czech Republic, and Germany while people in the U.K. mostly go with that of January 5.

Not everyone agrees, however. Many other Christian groups count the 12 days of Christmas as starting the day after Christmas Day – making January 6 the Twelfth Night. Countries that also follow the January 6 tradition include Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

According to some other beliefs, the Christmas season is not over until Candleman-2nd of January.

Whatever date is to your liking, all you have to know is; the rules for the end of the season have changed over history.

Gratitude and Christmas Mornings

Undoubtedly, there is no better feeling than when we wake up to a Christmas morning, welcomed with hot chocolate, turkey on the dining table, Santa by the door, and Christmas carols ringing everywhere. However, do you know that there is something that feels better than a Christmas morning? Well, I didn’t think so too until I did some research. And guess what I found that to be? Gratitude! So today, we are going to be looking at how gratitude beats our familiar feeling of every Christmas morning.

All Year Round

Unlike Christmas, which only comes once a year in December, gratitude is a feeling that you can experience at any time of the year. You can as well experience on Christmas day, Easter, and even on New Year’s Eve.

Making Returns

If we are, to be honest with ourselves, you’d agree with me that there are times we receive Christmas gift which deep down inside, we know that it’s not what we will need or would love to use. And what do we do at the end? Give it away to some other person that may be able to make use of the gift. However, that’s not the case with gratitude. No one can ever think of rejecting any feeling of gratitude showed towards them. No matter how small, big, or the time it comes, we always accept that warm feeling of peace and relief with open arms.

Contentment Against Materialism

As Christmas draws near, we naturally tend to think of what gifts we could get for ourselves, family, and friends. Thus, when we engage in Christmas shopping, our materialistic side is reborn. But, the opposite tends to be the case when gratitude comes into play. When we express or receive a feeling of gratitude, it helps us appreciate what we have and as a result, rekindles this special feeling of contentment within us.

Tension Against Growth

During the Christmas season, we often get too busy decorating the house, cooking, and trying to make everything look perfect, thus, tension may be created between our family members and us, especially with those that may not buy our ideas of decoration, cooking or anything else. But with gratitude, you’ll get to improve more in your family relationship, as it will help you realize how precious they are to you, and how lucky you are to have them in your life.

Cost

Expressing a feeling of gratitude towards another by allowing them to know how much you appreciate their efforts, costs absolutely nothing. On the other hand, getting a Christmas gift actually could cost a fortune, depending on who is involved.

Cooking Plum Cake

Never can we imagine the Christmas festival without a yummy plum cake. Christmas cake is a fruitcake prepared to serve during the auspicious eve of Jesus’s rebirth. It can be of many colors and flavors, depending on person-to-person. Various shapes of cakes are also fashioned, and most common amongst them is the round flat cake or Santa shaped cakes.

It is said that good food and wine are complementary to each other; therefore, wine adds a star to every Christmas eve. A good wine results in an excellent feast. So, whoever is a connoisseur of food or drinks would want an excellent wine to be served during this particular eve. Wine lovers wait for this festival to relish their drinks and celebrate it with more frolics. December time is the busiest time for churches. Religiously, it is often the time when we get to see people visiting the church to give thanks to God for blessing them with a beautiful life. And the best part is, nobody is restricted, as we are all free to visit any church to give thanks to God. So, when you are planning for your Christmas this time, don’t forget to add this to your list.

Decorate Your House

As we mostly see, big stars are usually hung on the roofs of houses during the Christmas season. Stars of various colors and designs can be seen everywhere, and there are two primary colors for the Christmas month. They are mainly, Green and red, where green color signifies the persistence of life, and red represents the blood of Jesus.

If you have ever had those hello dollies, the seven-layer bar cookies, well, that’s about what this is. So, in essence, these cookie swaps are great, and let me tell you how you can make these. Start with a gingersnap crust, which will give it that spice; you’ll also need tart dried cranberries, white chocolate chips, and fat-free sweetened condensed milk. Quick Bread

Quick pieces of bread are just what they are, quick! Now you can afford to serve your friends or a colleague from work who decides to pay you a surprise Christmas visit either a cranberry yam bread or a banana bread, which both are still types of quick breads. The fun part is that with this bread, you can afford to store them in the refrigerator, pending the day someone visits you.

Walnuts

Having a spiced walnut is another wonderful make-ahead food gift you can have during Christmas. Remember, not only are walnuts high in omega-three, but they are outstandingly great to our overall health as well. The good part about having walnuts is that you can decide to place them on cheese trays, or even inside little mason jars. Better still, you can do something simple like wrapping up a plastic bag and tying a short string like a ribbon around it. How to decorate for Christmas

How to decorate for Christmas. One of the goals of Christmas is making your home shine and brightening it up as much as possible, so the coziness of the holiday can emanate from your home. Of course, no one wants to be left out of the warmth that comes with the season (even though Christmas is in the dead of winter in some places around the world) that warmth is what we know as the Christmas spirit.

How can you get every inch of your house into this Christmas spirit? It’s quite simple quite frankly, it all boils down to creativity. Regardless of your choice of décor, traditional or otherwise, there are tons of creative ideas out there you can adopt to give you the desired result.

It’s imperative to get a Christmas tree, but that is just a start. Your entire, from the front porch to the kitchen should showcase as much festivity as possible.  To achieve this, you should try some decorating ideas.

Displaying holiday greetings on a mini Christmas tree is a good one. You could also create a hot cocoa bar, giving it a seasonal makeover with a customized wood sign and cute cups. Also, it won’t be a bad idea to winterize your porch, throwing in a few galvanized planters with mini trees.

Even things as basic as reorganizing your bookshelf can go a long way in increasing the coziness of your home. If you want to go all the way, you can craft an unconventional Christmas tree and site it where suits you.

Best Artificial Christmas trees

Artificial Christmas trees. One of the most conspicuous symbols over the years that indicates the advent of the Christmas season is the Christmas tree. A lot of Christmas tree pop up in cities and towns across America and Europe to signal the start of the season.

Nobody can say for sure when Fir trees were first used as Christmas trees. It probably began about 1000 years ago in Northern Europe. Many early Christmas Trees seem to have been hung upside down from the ceiling using chains (hung from chandeliers/lighting hooks).

For many years, many families during yuletide wander into the woods to find that perfect fir or spruce that will make their living room shine and brighten up for the holiday season, they don’t mind doing this even in the dead cold of winter.

These days, however, people would rather not go through the bother of going into the woods to cut down trees themselves, after all, there is an alternative which comes with way less stress and wat more advantages than going into the woods to cut down trees.

Families have adopted buying Artificial Christmas Trees that can last them years and years instead of cutting down a live tree. You can enjoy the joy of buying the trees in all shapes, colors, and sizes and they come pre-wired with an assortment of different types of lights to brighten your holidays. The best ones, in my opinion, are the ones that look and smell as close as possible to the real thing.
